The rooms are fine, November is cool so no air conditioning needed but I've also stayed between July and August and it is very hot! Having gone under extreme renovation of it's rooms, reception and conference facilities, with a focus on service upgrade, the Golden Tulip El Mechtel is now prepared to welcome international and local guests, while still offering international service standards. There are more places to choose from in the Tunis area. We had lunches and dinners at the hotel restaurant (self service buffet, clean, I enjoyed vegetables, there is also meat and fish). I went back when I found a ride ,still was be able to pass the gate ,they (gate security ) did not even check to confirm if I have a reservation .
